Believe it or not, she's still getting cuter. She had a visit today from the home health nurse from Liberty Hospital (they do that to all babies as a part of your visit). Everything was fine.
She was 8 # 6 oz when she was born, 8 # 3 oz when she left and she's down to 7# 7 oz but they reassured Shana that it was well within "normal". Her color was good - no jaundice and so she could quote the immortal words of Caddyshack's Carl Spackler, "So I got that goin' for me, which is nice.".
Hard to leave this morning for school. Karen stayed with Shana and I went to work and answered about a million questions about her and the experience. I feel like I just joined a club - now parents look at me like, "he finally knows what we're talking about". I know Shana joined a club...and I don't want any part of that club. I heard what Bill Cosby said about the upper lip going over my head.

Yes, I would agree she is cuter than cute! Shana, yes you will someday feel like yourself, again, in about 5 years. Just kidding. You're a new person, a mommy, and that means you think entirely like a different person. Don't be surprised that you will not be able to recite your social security number, but you can tell anyone how many times you nursed her yesterday! Congrats to you both. Coming later to hold. love sherry
Can't believe how much I miss Kealee today... I have had her on my mind all day- had to call at noon as I left work to make sure she was still doing well...I know Grandma Shirley will take good care of our "girls". I talked to Jim a while ago and he was concerned how long it would be before we next see her....he is as smitten as me! Funny how quickly they steal our hearts away. Kealee is a lucky gal to have such great parents and she will just have to put up with her 4 pathetic grandparents who feel like she is somrthing very special!
